Another EM:ME week down

Here is my weekly Extreme Makeover : Me Edition post.  Some of us need to take time for ourselves a little more often than we do and Amber has gathered a wonderful group of women to help support one another.  Check it out!

Another week down and I just have not really gotten on the bandwagon as well as I had hoped.  Sure, I am still doing, but not doing as much as I would like to be.  I did get 3 miles in under 30 minutes last week and without any music since my ipod was stolen.  I also ran again on Saturday morning, pushing the two oldest monkeys and it seemed like we ran further this time.  We took the monkeys to practice some soccer afterward the run and did a LOT of running back and forth chasing them.  These were the goals I set for last week and I did accomplish them.

I have been a slacker THIS week though, today will be the first day back at the gym.  So I was VERY surprised when I (on a whim) decided to step on the scale yesterday morning and I was not in the 150 pound range anymore, barely, but still!  I felt great and refuse to check again until next week.  I try not to get on the scale much because I would much rather go by how fit I feel and what size pants I am wearing.

We are going to the beach next week and I am really looking forward to it.  I need some relaxation time and time with my family.  I plan on dragging my mom out for jogs, chasing the monkeys, swimming (eek - wear a swimsuit?!?!), and maybe playing some beach soccer with the monkeys and my cousins.  I also plan on being happy, laughing, hugging, snuggling, and maybe even reading during the few days we are there.  I want to simply sit back and watch the monkeys in all of their glory and take a million pictures to remember every moment.  So these are my goals and I hope I can stick to them!

We are headed to the beach this weekend too! I made it my goal to walk for at least an hour or to run for 1/2 an hour everyday - hangovers be damned!

I can understand why you don't always have the time to get in the amount of exercise you want to - you're a busy mama! Have fun at the beach - that's a great way to get exercise in: playing and hanging out with the fam.

It sounds like you are doing really well. Exercising! Jogging what is that??? lol jk Ugh if I could only commit to walking 30 minutes a day I'd be doing good.

Great Job!! I think you should just take it slowly and ease into it.

Have a great time at the beach!!
